Diaz was born in the Dominican Republic:

Diaz was born in San Cristobal in the Dominican Republic, on November the 28th, 1994.

He pitched in the Dominican League as a teenager:

Diaz started playing professional baseball as a teenager, when he was just 17 years old. After he was selected to pitch in the Dominican Summer League.

When he turned 19 Diaz moved to the US to play in the Arizona League:

After spending two years pitching in the Dominican Summer League, Diaz felt ready to play professional baseball in the US. Which was his childhood dream. Upon arriving in Arizona, Diaz spent two years playing for a rookie level team. Before eventually moving on to sign a contract with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.

Diaz signed with the Milwaukee Brewers in 2011:

Miguel Diaz decided to sign with the Milwaukee Brewers in 2011 as a free agent.

He was originally slated to play for the Minnesota Twins:

Miguel Diaz was originally slated to play for the Minnesota Twins. As the Minnesota Twins used their first draft pick of the 2016 rule 5 draft to select Miguel Diaz. However, the management team of the Minnesota Twins quickly made the decision to trade Diaz to the San Diego Padres.

Diaz first debuted in the MLB in 2017:

In 2017 Miguel Diaz made his MLB debut with the San Diego Padres. While Diaz was originally rostered as a reliever, by June he had made the starting line up of the San Diego Padres. An impressive feat.

Miguel Diaz now plays professional baseball for the El Paso Chihuahuas:

In 2018 Diaz was removed from the starting line up of the San Diego Padres and started playing for the Padres’ affiliate team, the El Paso Chihuahuas. As their name suggests the El Paso Chihuahuas are based in El Paso, Texas. As the El Paso Chihuahuas are an official affiliate team of the San Diego Padres, Miguel Diaz may have the opportunity to get traded back to the San Diego Padres, if his form and statistics improve.

While Diaz is open about enjoying his time playing for the El Paso Chihuahuas, he also also open about the fact that he hopes to play in the MLB again in the future.

Miguel Diaz is classified as a free agent until 2024:

As Diaz is currently classed as a free agent and will remain so until 2024, he is free to seek out other professional MLB contracts until 2024. So don’t be too surprised if Diaz eventually moves on from playing for the El Paso Chihuahuas. Where he’s currently a star player.

He plays right handed:

Diaz bats with his right hand and also pitches with his right hand.
